Software Pursuits, Inc. announces the release of BootBack - Instant System Recovery Software

BootBack provides Instant System Recovery to Eliminate System Down-time Caused by Operating System Failures, Virus Attacks, and Faulty Upgrades.

San Mateo, CA - Software Pursuits, Inc., developer and worldwide distributor of data management and availability software, today announced the release of BootBack. BootBack provides a fast and easy method to recover a failed system from corruption or virus infection of critical operating system files.

Traditionally, restoration of downed systems would require qualified staff or consultants, a significant amount of time, and resources. BootBack allows users to boot their system back to a useable state from a snapshot made of the system at a previous time.

BootBack creates a full-system copy through its snapshot technology for the purpose of instant system recovery. Snapshots of the current state of the user’s system and application software are transparent and are performed on a scheduled basis or on-demand.

If a users system becomes unbootable, the user can instantly revert back to the most recent snapshot, nearly eliminating any downtime caused by system failure. BootBack offers users an inexpensive and easy method to ensure any downtime caused by an operating system failure, virus attack, or faulty upgrade is minimized. Recovery does not require the copying of any files, allowing the system to be available immediately. Data files can be excluded from the snapshots so that the most current data files are unaffected by booting to a backup system.

“BootBack provides administrators an affordable and reliable tool to restore systems to a previous working state, greatly improving system availability. Coupled with our products, SureSync and ArchiveSync, we have more to offer to clients seeking to improve availability of data and systems,” said Larry Salveson, President and CEO of Software Pursuits.

Software Pursuits is providing BootBack as part of a distribution partnership with LeapFrog Software, Inc. Additional information and free trials of BootBack are available from Software Pursuits’ website at www.BootBack.com. Pricing for BootBack begins at $44.00 per workstation and $347.00 per server. BootBack is available from Software Pursuits immediately.
